OK... so, every year now for the past 9 or so years, my mom and I have taken a vacation together.... just us girls...
Any way.... last year, we thought it would be fun to take the old route 66 from california to missouri, then go up to nebraska and take 80 home...
on the way we stopped in Flagstaff and met up with one of moms 1/2 sisters and her family (hi danielle), my moms home town Quannah texas to do some genealogy and a dallas suberb to visit with my moms full sister and some of her family (shouts out to Jamie, Sandi and Guy) ...
where was I going with this.... oh yea...
on day two we stoppoed in California City for gas, while we were there a dust storm kicked up. There was so much dirt in the air we couldnt see the road from the pump and the wind was so strong I thought it was going to blow the shirt right off this man! LOL
Oh and in case you were wondering what there is in California city.... as far as we could tell... a gas station with a mini mart and a whole lot of dirt!
